As part of our expansion, Solidus is looking for a versatile lead engineer to help build and manage a team of developers as we take our product and infrastructure to the next level and respond to intensifying client demand. This is a leadership position, and we are looking for the right person to help advance our ambitious vision and grow with the company. A strong candidate should be confident in their ability to coordinate development efforts and fulfill coding deadlines corresponding with a constantly evolving ecosystem. As a young startup we are looking for leaders who can manage teams and see the big picture, but are also ready to roll up their sleeves, commit code and engage with the demanding day to day of a growing company in an extremely dynamic space.

Responsibilities

• Contribute code and review code from junior developers
• Build and lead a team of highly performant engineers
• Coordinate activities across multiple internal and customer teams
• Earn trust through regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control
• Own metrics for project success. Define, measure and report on these metrics
• Be resourceful and find creative solutions to complex technical and organizational challenges
• Write documentation and test plans
• Demonstrate extraordinary people skills, customer obsession and attention to detail

Required Skills

• Strong object oriented skills; deep expertise and hands on programming experience in Core Java, including multithreading and performance tuning
• Experience with designing and implementing microservices architecture using Spring
• Experience working with messaging technologies such as Kafka
• Experience working with any of the NOSQL Databases is a plus (e.g.: HBase Cassandra etc.).
• Exposure to Machine Learning Models and technologies (e.g.: Pyspark, Spark ML, etc.) is a plus
• Experience working with KDB+, Q query language is a plus
• Exposure to blockchain technology and Solidity is a plus
• Exposure to web development technologies Angular, NodeJS, ReactJS desirable
• Previous experience in the financial services field, with an emphasis on trading/lending technology preferred
• Excellent people management skills; set appropriate timelines to achieve successful results
