Basic Requirements include:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working within publisher-side ad serving systems, and demonstrable experience in working with product development, engineering, inventory, operations, analytics, and QA teams with a strong focus on ad tech implementation
- Advanced knowledge and clearly demonstrable experience with Google DFP and FreeWheel (MRM) ad decisioning capabilities
- Proven experience in development or advanced usage in video advertising technologies, focused on live event streaming, VOD, mobile and OTT/Connected Device applications
- Candidates familiar with HTTP Linear Streaming (HLS) concepts and Dynamic Ad Insertion implementations will be given higher consideration
- Working knowledge of HTML, XML, and JavaScript
- Demonstrable knowledge of VAST, VPAID, and RTB video protocols
- Debugging and HTML proxy tools including Charles, Firebug, Chrome Developer Tools
- Great communication skills are a necessity as is the ability to work efficiently within an internal team and across various business groups. A positive, collaborative approach is a must!
Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Engineering, Product Leads, Designers, Analytics, Ad Sales, and Ad Operations groups to achieve advertising objectives for new products and product upgrades
- Manage the escalation path between ad trafficking operations and development and engineering resources to quickly resolve ad campaign revenue blockers
- Consult with ad technology vendors on technical implantation requirements and best practices
- Create and document product specifications for development and engineering teams
- Document product- and feature-specific trafficking requirements for Ad Operations workflows
- Communicate product features to Sponsorship, Marketing, and Business Development teams
- Prioritize efforts and tasks across a variety of advertising related product requests and requirements
- Provide status updates and communication including coordination on all advertising related efforts
- Define PRDs (product requirements documents) as well as sub-functions and tasks; Maintain documentation on internal wiki pages, including communication out to all necessary parties
- Experience working with engineering teams using Agile/Scrum software development & other common engineering best practices
- Experience or technical understanding around the use of data driven advertising and data management platforms
- Prior experience in supporting and working with advertising sales and ad ops organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication as well as collaborative skills; Ability to successfully address complicated and challenging problem sets
- Self-driven, motivated, and ability to drive objectives forward and see projects and initiatives through to completion; Ability to learn new problems sets quickly and experience applying creative problem solutions
- Experience working in a cross functional organization and successfully navigating amongst groups to achieve objectives
- Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints to meet deadlines
- Excellent at prioritizing tasks and development features with the highest advertising ROI
