The Motivate Mobile app is currently in use for Citi Bike (NYC), Capital Bikeshare (Washington, DC), Ford GoBike (San Francisco), The Hubway (Boston), Bixi (Montreal), Nice Ride (Minneapolis) and Melbourne Bike Share (Melbourne, Australia), with more cities to come.

We are also working to push the industry forward with next generation Smart Bike and eBike technology piloting in several cities this year, and our app will be a critical part of these initiatives.

About the Role

You will be joining a 7 person mobile team with a track record of delivering high quality software in a highly collaborative atmosphere. You will work closely with the other iOS & Android developers, API developers, designers, and product managers throughout the software development process. You will fully own features from inception to release, and rapidly iterate on them based on user feedback. Your input will be important, both on features you own and to the rest of of the team. We do regular pair programming, code reviews, lunch & learns, and field testing sessions together, and share a vision for the future of the app.

About you

• You care about shipping high quality mobile software.
• You have 2+ years of experience developing software professionally.
• You are proficient in either iOS or Android development, preferably with some experience in both.

This position reports to the Director of Software Engineering, and is located in Brooklyn, NY.
