Operations Associate - Quality Assurance

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing Oscar’s operational quality assurance and compliance program. You’ll also work cross-functionally to operations policies, ensure compliance and to support audits. This role will report into the VP of Insurance Operations.
Deliverables: What you have to achieve
In this role you will...
- Develop our operational Quality Assurance program
- Identify quality goals
- Identify metrics and co-set targets
- Develop QA, QC, and audit processes
- Execute QA, QC and, audit processes
- Establish and manage regulatory Compliance Program
- Support other teams in the development and review of standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are fully compliant
- Support other teams in vendor oversight
- Serve as a resource on compliance, QA, and operational policy and serve as resource to the operations teams
During your first 8 weeks you have...
- Designed a quality assurance process and begun implementing your solution
- Developed a strong understanding of the regulations that inform Oscar’s operational policy
- Reviewed Oscar’s current policies and identified areas where clarification is needed
Afterwards and on an ongoing basis you will...
- Continue to refine and build the operations QA program
- Execute against the QA program where policy is needed, write policy and get buy in from internal stakeholders
- Support the Operations team in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Work with teams on identifying improvement in their processes, SOPs, and policies
- Serve as an internal resource to answer questions on operational policy

Must-have qualifications and expertise include:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 - 5 years of experience in either quality assurance or operations management
- You are a systematic thinker who loves to figure out new situations
- You have a drive to get things right and can be a stickler about it
- You work comfortably with other teams
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented
- You love operations
