We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction and work closely with software engineers to ensure consistent project execution.
This role reports to the Lead QA Engineer.
What You'll Do:
- Test current products and identify deficiencies
- Write, maintain and document reproducible tests, scripts and procedures
- Suggest solutions to identified product problems
- Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Replicate customer reported bugs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements
Who You Are:
- 2 years of experience in software quality engineering and testing
- Experience with a scripting language like JavaScript or Python and eagerness to learn other languages
- Experience with building or extending automation frameworks e.g. pytest, Selenium
- Experience with Git, Jira
- Experience with test management tools e.g. TestRail
- A passion for robust development practices including test-driven development, continuous integration, and agile methodologies
- Excited to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Having a mindset for performance, memory, and concurrency
- Taking a data-driven approach to technical solutions
