Overview

The Senior Data Engineer will join DV's Programmatic software engineering team. On this the team the Senior Data Engineer will use data analysis and statistical modeling to enhance our products, build reporting solutions and provide meaningful data-driven insights to influence our roadmaps and product decisions.

What you’ll do

• Work with product and engineering to find opportunities to improve and enhance our technology products and business processes
• Deliver insightful data to clients, partners and internal users in various ways by implementing robust, scalable data delivery applications and APIs
• Analyze data to test the correctness and effectiveness of ETL processes
• Design, build and deploy streaming and batch data pipelines capable of processing and storing terabytes of data quickly and reliably
• Use data to investigate and help resolve client support cases
• Scale our data model and enable self-serve analytics

Who you are

• At least 5 years working in a data warehouse environment including schema design and data modeling
• Hands-on development experience in Python or similar programming languages
• Highly proficient In SQL and data analysis
• Experience in implementing business analytics and product analytics.
• Experience in implementing statistical models is a plus
• Experience working with Reporting Systems
• Experience in one or more of the following db engines: Oracle, SQL Server, PgSQL
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Looker etc is a plus
• Experience with Vertica or other columnar data stores is a plus
• Experience in one or more of the following technologies is a plus: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig
