It is an exciting yet critical time for our teams at Equinox Media and we're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, who will focus efforts on infrastructure as code (IAC), release management, monitoring/alerting, development tools, benchmarking/load testing, logging, and performance. In your role, you will proactively contribute to solutions that work toward smooth and well tested releases. You will contribute to project work that gains efficiencies from the branching strategies through to production deployment and increase productivity across all Equinox Media initiatives.

What You Will Do: 

• Own release management and production deployment
• Develop and contribute to the end-to-end environment, including branching and versioning strategies
• Design, implement, and maintain IAC strategy
• Contribute to the configuration and escalation process for monitoring and alerting
• Contribute to runbook/playbook for support purposes
• Implement process and enforce release requirements to maintain standards around code reviews, security scanning, and test coverage
• Contribute to the reduction of environment issues and provide support in cases where issues occur
• Partner with organizational infrastructure and security teams to assure compliance
• Partner with QA, Product, Core App development and other tech teams to reduce support, find efficiencies, increase performance, and educate on best practices

More About You (if you don't meet 100% of these qualifications but have the relevant experience, that's OK -- we still encourage you to apply):

• 5+ years of experience working in technical field - Engineering, Sysops, DevOps, or related
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer
• 1+ years hands on experience managing an AWS environment (EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS/SNS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway), AWS Associate or higher certification preferred
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, shell script and Git
• Experience working with IAC tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Troposphere
• Experience working with containerized environments essential Docker tools
• Experience working with configuration management for a CI/CD environment (Travis Preferred)
• Patience to provide ongoing support to fellow team members promptly and the ability to balance project work with support
• A philosophical approach to automate away from manual efforts
• The ability to effectively communicate, problem solve collaboratively, and build consensus across teams
• Experience working in an agile environment
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability
• A passion for technology, learning, and finding the best solution
