You are a web technologist looking to get in on the ground floor of an exciting startup with a truly inspiring mission and mandate. You’ll be able to help set the tone for how we develop our product, design and engineering culture. Responsibilities

• Build and iterate Action Button, an embeddable widget, written in ReactJS.
• Help design and build the next generation of our product, expanding both how we reach our users as well as how they can take action (including through chat and audio channels).
• Contribute to a future­-ready, high quality and performant code base.
• Work in tandem with our Heads of Design and Product to great best in class interactive experiences for our users.

Skills and Experience

• At least 4 years of overall web development experience
• JavaScript: ES6, npm, webpack/grunt, frameworks such as React/Redux
• Intimately familiar with Chrome/Firefox/Safari dev tools and ability to use them to create flawless interfaces across browsers
• Working knowledge of back-end systems and the integration of API's in customer facing applications
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to mentor growing juniors, curious peers, and engaged leaders.

Bonus

• Real world experience in the media, publishing and advertising industries
• Real world experience in the civic technology or non profit sector 
• Some basic design chops and an eye for great UI design
• A high comfort level working within a self-directed culture, solving complex problems, and navigating ambiguity
• Mobile development: iOS, Android and hybrid platforms (React Native)
