We’re a high energy, high growth tech startup seeking a Senior Manager of Website Marketing to serve as the owner of BetterCloud’s corporate website and digital marketing properties, which run on WordPress, Unbounce and Marketo pages.

We’re looking for someone with deep experience building amazing websites and knows the importance of design for conversion to join our Growth Marketing team. They’re able to own and manage all of our marketing properties and understand the marketing channels that drive traffic: SEO, SEM, paid advertising, content marketing, events, email, and social. A key role for our team, they’ll own our web design and development agency relationships, and also work closely with our internal corporate marketing, product marketing, marketing operations, demand generation, digital, and customer marketing.

We’re considering candidates in either New York or San Francisco. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of web marketing, with several successful website deployments from start to finish.
  • 3+ years managing website teams including design, development, production, and conversion rate optimization functions, or similar combination.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with open source CMS (like WordPress), including design, deployment and maintenance.
  • Strong experience with Google Analytics, search engine optimization (SEO), technical SEO, lead management and nurture, Salesforce, marketing automation (like Marketo) and/or other martech solutions.
  • A solid grasp of marketing and B2B customer journeys, personas, company brand, messaging, and positioning.
  • Strong understanding of UX, web design, analytics testing, information architecture, metadata, taxonomy, and their inter-relationships within the website channel.
  • Demonstrated record of success in building and driving growth on a corporate website in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and executing a large number of web projects integrated with other channels, involving many stakeholders and agencies, and defined KPIs.
  • Prior success building and executing heatmap, A/B, and MVT testing framework.
  • Curiosity about new ways to improve our digital channels productivity, stakeholder engagement efficiency, business process improvement, and user experience ROI.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills to promptly navigate obstacles, resolve issues, and effectively advocate for the website channel.
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves as part of the team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. Someone who is focused on delivery and proud moments with their peers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing

Responsibilities 

  • Strategy: Collaborate with senior members across the organization to build and own the marketing website strategy.
  • Own and build a best-in-class website: Understand latest web design trends, common website practices in our industry, what makes other websites great, and how to deliver compelling visual experiences.
  • Jump in to create landing pages and make changes to the website on an as-needed basis.
  • Front Office: Manage web production team in support of daily website activities, large corporate digital initiatives, and everything in between.
  • Back Office: Manage web development talent in support of CMS administration, integration of web technologies with marketing stack, and website performance health.
  • Project Management: Drive strategy, management, prioritization and execution of KPI- and UX-centric initiatives that move our business forward, including online channel expansion and website improvement. Steer matrixed content, design, product, and development teams, and own performance goals across the website.
  • Works collaboratively across marketing and the company in a way that always reaches the end goal and deliverables beyond what most can imagine.
  • Performance: Audit, monitor and improve business performance of the website. Demonstrate how the actively managed website is contributing to funnel goals, with a focus on Conversion Rate Optimization and website effectiveness. Own website testing, analytics, and insights, demonstrate how analysis informs spend and prioritization, deploy corrective remedies, and present findings and action plans regularly to senior stakeholders.
