Maven is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Engineering team to dive in and make an impact quickly. The SDET will be involved throughout the development lifecycle with particular emphasis on assuring the quality of our users’ experience. You will be responsible for designing and implementing tests across multiple teams as well as provide tools, frameworks and infrastructure support as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components of the application
- Setting up, maintaining and performing test automation frameworks on multiple platforms such as Web, iOS and Android and building functional, unit, integration and API testing scenarios.
- Creating and enhancing automated tests on a daily basis and researching test tools and upgrading existing practices and processes.
- Excellent debugging skills
- Work with Developers and Product Managers to solve any issues that arise
- Setting up test infrastructure, coverage and reporting
Requirements:
- A Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a SDET or QA Automation role (Web and mobile applications)
- Strong knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress etc
- A passion for test infrastructure and CI/CD
- Excellent knowledge of web technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS)
- An understanding of at least one programming language (Java, Javascript, Python, etc.)
- Working knowledge of UNIX shells (bash, sh)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud environments (GCP, AWS etc)
- Self motivated and proactive
- A passion for testing, development and design
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
