The Opportunity:
Shutterstock Inc. seeks a Software Engineer I in New York, NY to contribute to all aspects of the multiple API services under the team’s ownership. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent plus one (1) year of experience designing, implementing, refactoring, conducting automated testing of, deploying, and maintaining uptime of multiple API services. Prior experience must include one (1) year of providing architectural guidance for implementing scalable microservices within an SOA utilizing NodeJS; implementing front-end user features in multiple technical stacks utilizing jQuery to enhance consumers’ user experiences; maintaining quality of the service responses, and quality of user features; performing statistical analysis of “big data” sets to provide detailed information about usage utilizing SQL and Hive; working in an agile scrum environment; utilizing Javascript, Markup Languages, and CSS.
