The Opportunity:

Shutterstock is seeking an accounting professional to take on the role of Invoicing Clerk help support the continued expansion of our global business. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the customer-to-sales cycle. This position requires a highly motivated individual who is highly adaptable to change.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Customer outreach regarding outstanding balances.
  • Creation of new customer billing entities.
  • Timely and accurately processing account adjustments for bank fees and other variances (i.e. forex, shortages, etc.).
  • Research and resolve payment variances by partnering with the customer and account managers.
  • Bring experience to the table and provide opportunities for process improvement and additional efficiencies.
  • Perform account reconciliations to determine gaps/inconsistencies in invoicing and payment applications.
  • Assist in reconciling current backlog of unapplied cash and adjusting customer accounts as necessary.
  • Prepare, review, and process invoices daily.
  • Issue monthly statements, keep customers files updated with current invoices, bills and contact information.
  • Completing ad-hoc adjustments as assigned by the AR lead or management team.

Requirements:

  • 3‐5 years’ experience working in accounts receivable with a focus on credit control and collections with specific concentration in a high volume international/multi‐currency environment.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables) is critical.
  • Analytical, detail‐oriented and strong organizational skills a must.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Great Plains and/or Workday experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Bi‐lingual a plus.
