We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial aspects of our business and drive the company’s financial strategy, planning and internal controls. You will be responsible for oversight of the financial performance and accounting systems of the company as well as possible risks and investments. The CFO is a reliable professional with broad knowledge to all accounting, financial and business principles. The CFO is also a strategic thinker and effective leader who can make the most profitable decisions while being a prudent risk manager. The goal is to guide the company towards stable profitability and long-term success.

What you’ll be doing:

• Drive the financial planning and strategy of the company by analyzing its financial performance and risks
• Oversee and manage the company’s accounting, financial planning and analysis systems
• Prudent management and oversight of company balance sheet and assets
• Create and oversee budgets for all Paxful offices and departments
• Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel
• Create efficient financial and tax structure including multiple subsidiaries and entities
• Manage and review Finance department personnel's preparation of timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
• Conduct financial analyses and models and reporting of the same to leadership team
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
• Lead and guide company through fundraising and investment rounds
• Work closely with auditing firms and take the company through a full audit of the financials

What you’ll bring to this role:

• Proven experience as CFO or a director of finance or similar role, ideally in a bitcoin or other cryptocurrency company or alternatively at a high growth startup company
• Expert knowledge of the bitcoin network, and how cryptocurrency finance operates
• Understanding of operating finance systems when revenue is earned in bitcoin
• Knowledge about forecasting in terms of understanding where the company is and where it's going under certain scenarios
• Knowledge of international tax systems, specifically for US corporations
• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• Proficient in the use of financial management software
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Ideally, you also have:

• An MBA from an accredited university
• CPA, CFA or other relevant qualification
• Work experience from a corporation with multiple, global entities
• An understanding about digital currencies accounting when revenue is in a volatile asset
