The Role

SevenRooms is looking for a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to build and lead financial planning, business planning and data analysis. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing scalable processes and controls to ensure financial & analytical discipline across SevenRooms as we move into this next phase of massive growth. 

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will work closely with the executive team to set financial and business goals and forecasts, while being an active participant and driver of the company's overall business and strategy. You will partner with department heads and the leadership team around the globe to help them plan & manage their respective departments.

This position requires an experienced business professional who has a track record in building effective teams, has demonstrated successful business partnership with executive leaders, and possesses a unique blend of financial acumen and strategic capability coupled with a willingness to take a hands-on approach to designing, building, and evolving the function. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead the Company's core financial processes and reporting including annual plans, quarterly, and monthly forecasts
  • Partner with company’s leadership team to formulate forward-looking strategy and pressure test growth plans
  • Build and iterate on complex financial models covering all aspects of SevenRooms’ operations that will enable effective decision making regarding the company's revenue growth strategy, cost structure, and capital expenditures.
  • Maintain and enhance efficiency of internal financial reporting processes, serving as a thought leader to upgrade reporting standards through the pursuit of continuous process improvement
  • Define, calculate and report core business KPIs, unit economics and GTM efficiency metrics, keeping the business focused on the metrics that matter most towards efficient growth
  • Collaborate with operating teams and provide fact-based recommendations that support revenue growth targets and improve profitability, operating efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Balance sheet and cash flow analysis to assist with capital & financing strategy and execution
  • Prepare consolidated forecasts, budgets, and multi-year financial plans and analyze trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures, and other related areas

Who You Are

  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, with demonstrated competence in all functional areas, strong communication skills and unwavering ethics & integrity
  • Established leader with a successful track record of data-driven decision making and the ability to drive factual thinking throughout the organization
  • A proven level of collaboration, partnership, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strategic business relationships to establish rapport and credibility are required. In particular, must have the experience and ability to present to senior leadership, Board and investors
  • Entrepreneurial attitude towards the business and a strong work ethic
  • Credibility and trustworthiness in their dealings with others
  • Flexibility to lead during periods of frequent and progressive change
  • Ability to hold themselves and others accountable for performance
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and undertake projects that accelerate growth and create value for SevenRooms
  • Nice to have: experience in Netsuite and Salesforce

SevenRooms provides access to WeWork co-working spaces for 7Roomies across the country to safely work, collaborate, and connect. Usage of these spaces are optional. Our home WeWork hub is located in the heart of New York City's Financial District.
