As Compass experiences massive growth, we are looking for the best and brightest to drive strategic business decisions. This role will help to build a financial and strategic business partnership with our regional managers, who manage agents in our markets. The role will partner with these market leaders to assess, set & roll-out market policies, identify & optimize key levers of our agent unit economics and support agent negotiations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a sharp commercial sense with deep negotiation experience, and an ability to cultivate business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate business partnership with regional managers across the country.
  • Work with CFO, FP&A team and Agent Finance team to establish a center of analytical excellence in support of regional leaders.
  • Assess, develop and roll-out market-level policies (e.g., agent split schedules, marketing budgets, desk policies, market fees). Track and optimize adherence to these policies. Help to determine incentives to drive adherence and desired economic outcomes.
  • Drive optimization of the key levers of our unit economics by providing analytical and negotiating support to market and regional leaders. Provide commercial fact-based recommendations that improve profitability, operating efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze and communicate sales production against plan.

Job Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience, which can be comprised of a mix of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • MBA a plus.
  • Prior FP&A experience a plus.
  • Prior business development experience a plus.
  • Strong commercial orientation & negotiating experience required.
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, develop insightful reports and communicate actionable recommendations.
  • Must be a team player with a positive, cooperative attitude. Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously, both internal and external.
  • Humble with ability and desire to roll up sleeves and be hands on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with regional leadership.
  • Proactive individual seeking additional responsibility at all times.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and improve processes and procedures.
