Role

We’re looking for a FP&A Manager to provide critical business intelligence and actionable financial insights that empower decision-making throughout the Company. In this role, you will use well-honed analytical and communication skills to track and influence business performance. You will interact with business leaders throughout the Company, develop and maintain complex models, define and build new business processes, and help steer the company through your analysis. We are specifically looking for an individual with thorough understanding of finance and the ability to work with many stakeholders - as a well rounded contributor, your attitude will make the difference. This position will report directly the Director of Finance in the NYC Headquarters.

What You’ll Do

  • Building financial models that enable senior leadership to make effective decisions about the company's cost base and revenue projections
  • Present, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data to senior leadership - partnering closely with key leaders to impact strategic business decisions
  • Work on a variety of special projects that may include financings, new business initiatives, etc.
  • Own budgeting process, including annual preparation, review and analysis, assigning department specific budgets, and tracking monthly/quarterly actuals vs. budget
  • Recruit, manage and mentor junior members of the team
  • Create and own the internal FP&A Calendar; manage deadlines; coordinate with business leaders
  • Partner with Accounting on monthly close process, financial reporting, and preparation of GAAP financial statements
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to perform strategic analysis and modeling to help inform department specific spending and decisions
  • Analyze competitor performance and market trends
  • Write commentary that adds value and draws attention to key issues and/or perspectives
  • Establish and reporting key operating metrics used to drive the business to greater efficiency
  • Assist in the upgrade of reporting standards through the pursuit of continuous process improvement and liaison with the various business departments
  • Prepare and delivering daily, weekly and monthly management reports to key constituents
  • Assist in preparation of materials for Board of Director meetings

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Statistics with a record of high academic achievement
  • 4+ years of finance and strategic analysis experience in investment banking, management consulting, or FP&A at a high growth company
  • Entrepreneurial drive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Hands-on financial modeling skills (Excel superpowers) and presentation acument (powerpoint)
  • Fluency in financial accounting (3-statement modeling) and financial analysis (EBITDA, Free Cash Flow)
  • Experience with financial systems is a strong plus (Xero & Netsuite)
  • Proficiency in VBA, SQL and BI tools (Looker and Tableau) are a major plus
