The FP&A Analyst will have responsibility for financial and operational analysis at BentoBox. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this individual will enable management to operate on a solid foundation of well informed analysis.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for analyzing financial and planning analyses with an emphasis on insights, trends and interesting observations with recommended actions
- Track company performance and analyze results to identify growth opportunities and risks to plan
- Assist the Accounting team in the monthly closing process by leading functional variance analysis to both budget and forecast
- Drive the budget and forecast process with designated business partners. Understand their drivers and objectives and partner with them to forecast effectively
- Lead specific, cadenced financial reviews with specific teams in which results are presented and
- Maintain existing financial models as well as create new financial models as required and improve existing models to maximize forecast accuracy.
- Work closely with Senior Leadership in the development of analyses and presentations for Management including board decks, monthly sales reviews and sales management meetings
- Collaborate with Data Science team to maintain data integrity across functions
- Produce Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- 2+ years of experience in a FP&A function, ideally in a SaaS startup
- Strong financial acumen and applied knowledge of financial measures such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), payback period measurement, ROI, lifetime value (LTV) and related concepts
- Advanced in Excel and modeling
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships and communicate with peers and executive management
- Knowledge of SQL or Python a plus
