About the job
Spruce is looking for an FP&A Associate to join our Finance team in NYC, reporting to the Head of Finance. This role will help to drive the reach and effectiveness of Spruce’s financial planning and analysis function, working closely with the Head of Finance to enable informed decision-making throughout the business.
What you'll do
- Support the development, tracking and reporting of operational and financial metrics
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly P&L trending and analysis reports
- Compare and analyze results against budget and forecast
- Assist the company on special projects, including fundraising and new product pricing
- Create in-depth analyses to identify strategic and growth opportunities, examine new market potential, and assess competitive landscape
- Create and maintain automated dashboards in Chartio to provide transparency into the business
- Gather and present data in response to compliance requirements
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s or higher degree
- 1-2 years of experience in consulting or finance
- Ability to build financial models and produce clear slide presentations
- Demonstrated experience owning projects from start to finish
- Working knowledge of SQL; Python & R are a plus
- Excellent communication skills; customer service experience is a plus
