Overview of Position

We are looking to add a bright, curious, capable, and customer-oriented HRIS and Payroll Analyst to our HR team. The position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills, a bias for continuous improvement, and an interest in helping the business grow. This person will process biweekly payroll, produce well-designed and easily understood reports, and maintain the accuracy and reliability of all employee data for Motivate.

Responsibilities

  • Process a multi-jurisdiction biweekly payroll and proactively ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Develop and control all processes necessary to accomplish the Company’s payroll processing objectives while driving best practices
  • Recommend, monitor, and implement opportunities for continuous operational improvements
  • Oversee data management for new hires and existing employees
  • Ensure that employee files are up to date and that all documentation is filed properly
  • Model and actively champion the importance of organizational policies and procedures, including data privacy and protection
  • Assist with ongoing operations and processes to manage and develop our HRIS

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years related experience with automated payroll systems (experience with Canadian payroll a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce a plus
  • Excellent analytical and independent thinking skills
  • Proven track record of interpreting HR data through reporting and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to manage payroll and reporting processes from start to finish
  • Demonstrated ability to review existing processes and experience recommending and implementing improvements
  • Collaborative team player
  • Proven ability to remain flexible in the face of changing priorities
