Junior Accountant

Bread’s Finance organization is critical to both the daily operations as well as the long-term strategy of our financial technology business. The Junior Accountant will be a key member of Bread’s growing Finance team and involved in driving critical decisions. In this role the Junior Accountant will work closely with the Senior Director of Financial Operations, the broader Finance team and executives across the company. A successful candidate will exhibit a keen attention to detail, strong business acumen and the ability to work both efficiently and effectively in an ever changing environment.
What you’ll do:
- Record daily bank and revenue transactions
- Assist with month-end close and financial statements
- Maintain all balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Assist in Finance/Treasury operations
- Provide support on year end audit requests
- Responsible for all accounts payable and receivable functions
- Produce 1099-Misc and 1099-Ks at year end
- Ad-hoc analytics, supporting our growing finance team regarding all daily functions
Your skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Ambitious self-starter, eager to help build a world class finance organization
- Strong attention to detail
- Do-what-it-takes attitude, willing to dive in a figure it out
- Team player a must
- Comfortable with the ambiguity that can accompany start-up life
- Proficiency with excel
