What We Need
We’re looking for a tech savvy, organized and diligent Accountant to assist with the general ledger and month-end close. This is a deadline driven environment and we value strong analytical skills, attention to detail and great communication skills. A desire to learn is necessary to succeed in this role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a small, agile team reporting directly into the VP Controller.
Responsibilities
- Prepare workpapers relating to and in support of the monthly close as well as external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Manage Fixed Asset schedules
- Process Publisher A/P, data & measurement providers, general vendors, corporate credit cards and employee expense reports
- Assist with the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings
- Help ensure that company financial records and reports are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP (accrual basis). Responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly/quarterly draft financial statements, account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance
- Assist with proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules
- Proficient at dealing with Sales and Customer Service teams
Requirements
- Solid Excel skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- At least 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and close books and prepare financial statements monthly
- Understanding of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
- Team-oriented, with the ability to build relationships and rapport within and across the organization

- Experience using Quickbooks
