The Payroll analyst will work in our New York City headquarters and report to the payroll lead. The payroll analyst will be responsible for preparing the company’s bi-weekly and semi-monthly, multi-state, payroll. They will also respond to payroll-related inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have a broad scope of payroll expertise in Workday payroll, payroll processing, taxation, journal entries and payroll-related benefits, such as 401k, FSA, etc.

The candidate will possess strong time management skills, see the “big picture”, and process payroll with a strong attention to detail. The candidate must also be adaptable to unforeseen events and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, quickly responding to all internal inquiries as well as an inherent commitment to customer service principles, are vital for success in this role.

What is the position?

Right away we will need you to

  • Run the processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly, multi-state payroll for over 700 employees through Workday & ADP
  • Review electronic timecards for accuracy, completeness and approvals
  • Prepare of month-end and journal entries, reconcile payroll using NetSuite

As on ongoing player at Oscar you will

  • Provide customer service for employees and assist with any questions and concerns they may have regarding their paychecks
  • Develop methods to improve employment policies, processes, and practices, and recommend changes to management
  • Assist with other duties, as necessary, as part of the Finance Operations team

Who are you?

Must have qualifications include;

  • 3+ Experience managing and scaling payroll specifically related to hourly employees
  • Experience working with Workday & ADP
  • Proficiency in in Excel including Vlookups and Pivot Tables
  • Proficiency with various of our operating systems including Google Office Products, Mac iOS

  • Experience working with Netsuite, Concur, Bill.com, Shareworks
  • Experience with stock options/Equity tracking
