The Role:

Manages the activities of the payroll function. Develops policies and procedures for payroll process and timekeeping. Ensures the generation of the company payroll, including labor distribution records, vacation and sick leave accrual, overtime and withholding status. Meets all government reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions. May be responsible for sales tax payment and/or stock option administration. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle multi-state US and international UK payroll in a fast-paced environment and ensure accurate quarter-end and year-end processing

  • Ensure employee records are compliant for payroll processing and perform periodic data reconciliations to ensure accuracy

  • Maintain time and attendance system for compliance

  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures

  • Process wage garnishments, void and manual checks

  • Oversee work product of HRIS/Payroll Analyst

  • Prepare training materials, guides, and documentation and provide training to users as needed

  • Administration of stock options

  • Oversee employee payroll accounting, transactions and reporting activities

  • Serve as a critical day-to-day contact and address payroll related queries and requests from employees

  • Assist in audit operations and implement audit recommendations

  • Assist with special projects as needed

  • You are independent and proactive and are a team player
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You can work under pressure and tight deadlines, while keeping a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • You are meticulous and able to manage confidential information securely and with discretion

What You Bring to The Team:

  • You have experience with multiple HRIS/Payroll systems
  • You have experience with systems implementations and building new processes
  • You have 5 – 7 years of Payroll and HRIS experience
  • You have knowledge of common fiscal procedures, tax laws, wage laws, accounting, and payroll best practices.
  • You have knowledge of UK payroll
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products
