The Pricing Analyst will play a critical role within the Finance function at Bread, working cross functionally to price and support transformative, strategic merchant and partnership deals across the business.

Your role at Bread

• Support new merchant pricing and company-wide profitability initiatives

• Working closely with cross-functional teams to drive new growth and margins initiatives

• Explore and identify areas to drive product monetization; understanding the trade-off between price, volume, and risk

• Partner closely with Product organization to assist in the development strategies for consumer growth and engagement

• Support cross-functional efforts to structure and price new strategic partnership ventures

• Support the development of novel merchant pricing strategies and features for different verticals, products, and platforms

• Assist development and execution of pricing roadmap for the optimization of risk-weighted returns

Essential Job Functions

Financial analysis – Use a variety of tools (e.g. Looker, SQL, etc.) and financial modeling skills to synthesize complex models and data sets into insightful, coherent recommendations in an effort to support cross-functional efforts to structure and price new strategic partnership ventures. Support the development of novel merchant pricing strategies and features for different verticals, products, and platforms. Complete analysis and forecasting of financial performance and modeling to explore and identify areas to drive product monetization.  Compile and analyze profit and loss statements (P&Ls) of numerous verticals.   Analyzes and understands company financial statements. Analyzes client performance and trends to identify opportunities to optimize profit as well as protect the company. 

Business Case Development – Develop cash flow models to evaluate risk and return via metrics such as ROI, ROA, and NPV and understanding the trade-off between price, volume, and risk. Maintain organization while multi-tasking, paying attention to detail and setting priorities. Assist in the preparation of analyses, findings, and/or recommendations to be shared with leadership. Assist development and execution of pricing roadmap for the optimization of risk-weighted returns.

Collaboration- Partner closely with Product organization to assist in the development strategies for consumer growth and engagement. Engage in client discussions, and assists with the identification of objectives and success metrics.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Remote work or normal office environment, Travel 1-2 times/month (environment permitting)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics or other quantitative field

Two or more years of experience in financial modeling and demonstrated working knowledge of consumer lending and credit

Preferred Experience:

Credit pricing and strategy and / or investment banking experience

Experience with Looker and SQL

Education:
