ABOUT THE TEAM

The credit department at Revolut designs, develops and launches credit products across multiple countries.

As we do this from scratch we have complete responsibility for each product: developing the backend, the front-end, the data science infrastructure, and then creating a local setup in each country with scalable risk management and portfolio management solutions.

The team is made up of a mix of risk management, product, design and software professionals, providing lots of opportunity to share knowledge and learnings across functions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead the build of compliant and effective debt collections process. Own and manage the end to end debt collections process for retail credit portfolios in the US. Ensure that the Revolut collections process is efficient and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. Optimize in house and outsourced collection capability with best in class contact rate and cure rate by using the latest technology, analytics and strategic payment programs. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Evaluate and decide the best set of collection/recovery products like re-negotiations, refinancing and deliver world class service to delinquent customers, providing the best possible experience as well as resolving their financial difficulties

Setting up multi-dimensioned random experiments through the collections lifecycle to be able to make the best business decisions

Effectively use collection/contact rate/expected payout models to drive the best collection policies to ensure best in class recovery rate for the portfolio

Build dynamic collection and communication strategies which optimise the collection channel (call/sms/email/do nothing etc.) and most optimal communication template and also the most optimal decision (report bureau, block card, give discount, counter-offer etc.) given all the past information on the delinquent account

Effective oversight of critical collections vendors, collection operation metrics, external vendor metrics and running effective day to day collection operations both internally & externallyResponsible for maximizing recovery at a very low ops cost and maintaining a low charge-off rates & roll rates

Zero tolerance of any compliance issue or breach of regulatory requirements 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 

Proven track record of managing full cycle collections strategies for retail credit products like credit cards, unsecured personal loans etc.

A bachelor's degree (preferably Masters or higher) in an quantitative/analytical stream like engineering, statistics, Physics, math, economics or management degree from a top university

Knowledge of federal and state level debt collections laws and regulations in US

Delivers excellent results that exceeds requirements, plans appropriately to meet multiple objectives and is forward thinking on inter-dependencies to proactively identify and resolve issues

Solid understanding of collections as well as behavioural scoring models esp. for retail credit productsGenerally clear, concise and structured and is able to explain complex concepts in simple manner

Deep thinker capable of processing a lot of information towards most optimal decision making

Understands the value of speed to market and is able to balance between elegant problem solving and business need of the hour

Excellent working knowledge of SQL, R and Python etc. & other data analysis tools and also willing to learn new technology to help business scale
