Overview

This role will provide project management services to support new business initiatives and ongoing Record-to-Report process enhancements within Finance, consistent across our global functional teams as appropriate, and maintain ownership of a global Finance reporting library and data map. To promote this objective, s/he will connect key Finance resources with relevant functional specialists from across VICE, identify and document business requirements and manage the implementation and subsequent maintenance of platforms and processes designed to address those requirements. S/he will serve as an internal change management consultant and maintain governance of the platforms supporting Finance’s day-to-day operating model to ensure our operational processes are sustainable, efficient and supportive of Finance’s strategic goals. 

 S/he will work closely with global Controllership, FP&A and Tax & Treasury teams to build consensus in support of critical projects through analysis and presentation of well-defined business cases including targeted outcomes and anticipated benefits. S/he must facilitate collaboration across functional departments to define in-depth project requirements, design sound workflows and drive design specification sign-off. The Sr. Financial Reporting PM is ultimately responsible to establish clear project goals and produce detailed project schedules with ongoing project updates to all relevant stakeholders.

The role is a member of the PMO within the Information Systems team. S/he will partner with various PMs and Application Managers to oversee technical development progress, facilitate user training services and ensure timely delivery of effective, well designed solutions. Current Finance systems stack includes, most notably, NetSuite and Adaptive Insights, OpenAir, Concur. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Utilize and optimize templates and processes provided by PMO to own requirements gathering for new or modified functionality across all Finance related systems
  • Maintain ERP data map ensuring all Finance systems and reporting are in sync globally
  • Identify inefficiencies, risks or control gaps at the process, document or systems level and develop strategies for remediation and enhancement
  • Own and communicate on status of Finance department projects and the department's overall progress, including individual and group training and change management
  • Support the PMO in assessing and reporting on the execution of all Finance business systems projects, including issue management, escalation, management communications, KPI tracking and reporting
  • Manage multiple projects as needed, including project plan development, coordination of project deliverables, creation of Business Requirements documentation, workflow documentation and maintenance, milestone/task tracking, testing and implementation
  • Assist with ongoing intake and prioritization of the portfolio, including resource planning, project budgeting and standard operating procedure optimizations

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, CPA/CFA or PMP certification desirable but not required
  • 2-3 years report writing and budget modeling within financial systems, Netsuite and Adaptive experience preferred
  • 3-5 years managing a team of analysts and project managers
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting processes, infrastructure and systems and experience within a large, multinational and high growth business
  • Experience with Finance and accounting system implementations or conversions
  • Big 4 or top tier management consulting experience a plus
