WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable to lead a growing team, as we look to prepare the company for public readiness. This position ensures the accuracy and completeness of the Accounts Receivable sub-ledger and general ledger. This individual must possess the drive for innovation and the ability to build lasting relationship with key stakeholders. This position requires a person who performs at a high level of accuracy and efficiency, is well organized, demonstrates ownership and initiative to accomplish goals. Additionally, the candidate will innovate to drive efficiencies through continual evaluation of our systems and business processes. This role will work closely with the Sales and Revenue Operations team and report directly to the Senior. Manager, Revenue.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversee the global accounts receivable and cash collection processes
- Ensure customer invoices are processed and collected, timely and accurately
- Resolve customer billing disputes and short payments
- Hit or exceed monthly cash collection targets
- Own the allowance for doubtful accounts analysis
- Supervise, manage, and motivate the AR team members and their daily work with a continued focus on automation
- Evaluate processes and procedures to gain efficiencies and cost savings by driving continuous improvement of the accounts receivable/cash collection team
- Develop customer relationships to quickly resolve payment issues
- Maintaining proper internal controls and the enforcement of Company’s policies and procedures
- Managing and reporting key indicators to the leadership team
- Support the monthly and quarterly financial close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Own sales tax filings and ensure compliance with all NEXUS laws
- Manage auditor request for the annual audits and quarterly reviews
WHO YOU ARE
- 7+ years of Accounts Receivable and Cash Collection experience, including 3+ years in a manager capacity
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance is a plus
- General accounting experience and high proficiency using Microsoft Office is required
- Strong written and communication skills for interaction within the finance team, external accountants, customers, and upper management
- Firm understanding of audit controls, Sarbanes Oxley and the accounting close process
- Experience using NetSuite, Avalara and Experian is a plus
