As Calculate continues to scale, we’re seeking a Senior Associate with a background in Auditing to support our growing business and clients. This role will include acting as accountant and controller to early stage and growing companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements reconstructing client financial statements in preparation for investments, acquisitions, or audits
• Act as an outsourced controller, which includes month end accounting closes, producing financial statements, and financial reporting
• Own the financial operations and accounting processes for Calculate’s clients
• Work closely with startup founders, management teams, and client C-suite
• Assist with ad hoc accounting, tax preparation, reporting, and financial analysis projects
• Periodically lead or support colleagues and management on strategic initiatives and operational improvements
• Effectively and clearly communicate with clients and colleagues across various channels

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA preferred
• Strong understanding GAAP
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter to own processes independently with a desire to solve problems collaboratively
• 4-6 years’ experience as an auditor at a Big-4 or nationally recognized public accounting firm
