Yext is seeking a Tax Manager to join its dynamic Tax and Treasury team. Reporting to the SVP of Finance, the successful candidate will interact with the Tax and Treasury team, internal departments and external relationships to support all aspects of the tax operations. Key responsibilities include indirect tax compliance, assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, and liaise with various outside consultants on a number of moving tax projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sales and use, property, city and business tax and other regulatory returns
- Work with outside tax consultants to assist with various domestic and foreign compliance
- Maintain Yext’s tax calendar ensuring all tax due dates are met (domestic and foreign)
- Prepare/review the quarterly and year-end income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
- Prepare tax footnote for SEC 10Q and 10K filings
- Perform tax account reconciliations and account rollforwards for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
- Respond to all tax audits and tax notices, including gathering information, and assembling responses to auditor inquiries
- Lead in tax planning and research projects
- Stay informed about Yext’s ongoing business activities and results of operations in consideration of tax implication
- Liaise with corporate finance, accounting, legal, human resources and tech teams on tax-driven business initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters in Taxation or Accounting a plus
- 5-7 years of relevant tax experience
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential
- Detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven
- Outstanding oral, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills
