This role is remote, with one required visit to your designated home office per quarter.

Remote option is available for employees located in the following states; NJ, CO, FL, IL, IN, IA, MS, NV, PA, WV, Washington D.C., AZ, MD, LA and MI (States subject to change at anytime)

At William Hill we’re building multi-platform sports betting and digital casino products for the booming U.S. sports betting industry. Our Product Technology team has built a single app, multi-state platform that supports legal sports betting in 7 U.S. states and counting, and as our product continues to reach scale, we need to grow our organization and its processes so that our team can continue to efficiently deliver.

As the Technology Finance Director, you will be a leader within Caesars Digital’s Product Technology department, which is the team responsible for building that builds Caesars’ premier sports betting and iGaming consumer products. As our liaison to Finance and Procurement within In our the organization, you will be the go-to-person for all department’s financial planning and vendor management. You will build and maintain an effective planning, reporting, and analysis process. Our Product Technology leaders will rely on you to facilitate our vendor negotiations through our procurement process. *Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years experience building and managing budgets for tech departments/ companies. 

What you will do:

  • Lead Product Technology’s annual budget and long-term capital planning. 
  • Partner with Product Technology leadership and Finance to ensure the team is funded for all needs on their product roadmap.  
  • Establish a culture of financial planning with Product Tech; develop processes for the team which create budget ownership at the GM level.  
  • Work with Product Technology and Finance leaders to handle new budget requests. 
  • Develop financial models that provide data points in Product Tech and IT’s decision-making process. 
  • Lead monthly presentation to Product Tech and IT leadership, communicating progress against budgetary targets and provide commentary on the impact decisions have had on financial forecasts.  
  • Create dashboards that enable GM and IT business unit level budget tracking. 
  • Support the Finance team in preparation of all reports and analysis. 
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all ad-hoc analysis and reports, metrics, and dashboards. 
  • Prepare and analyze actual financial results with appropriate comparison to historical performance. 
  • Monitor and track expenses to budgets and forecasts, and communicate results to tech and financial teams 
  • Contribute to tech and finance team by providing insights and recommendations on cost identifications and risk management 
  • Lead the onboarding of new technology vendors by working with Caesars’ Procurement, Legal and InfoSec departments. 
  • Work with GMs or their designees to proactively identify efficiencies in third party vendor agreements and renewals. 

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of financial analysis and/or budgeting experience within Technology industry 
  • Experience working in or with a technology department
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT Analytics, or equivalent practical experience 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office, database, analytical and financial systems 
  • Process focused; capable of improving the department’s financial management practices and creating processes where none exist 
  • Understand the needs of a modern, flat Product Technology organization as well as a traditional IT organization 
  • Proven ability to build a strong relationship between Product Technology and Finance, all while keeping the company’s goals in mind 
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of understanding technical information with the ability to effectively and comprehensively communicate to non-technological colleagues
  • Ability to interact comfortably with the executive management team. 
  • Ability to maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
