Fairstead is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the General Manager and VP of Operations, providing analysis and insights, and contributing to the portfolio's overall financial health. The Finance Analyst will work closely with various departments to assess financial performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements. The Financial Analyst provides financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data, providing insights into KPIs and variances from budget.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, and create ad-hoc reports to address specific financial questions or concerns raised by leadership and stakeholders.
  • Providing insights, conducting what-if analysis, and predicting trends to leadership.
  • Track and analyze industry trends, competitor performance, and economic factors that may impact the company's financial position.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide analysis with explanations for deviations.
  • Create presentations and recommend strategies to leadership on a variety of business decisions.
  • Develop strategies to identify and mitigate risk, and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Work closely with Community Managers, Regional Managers, Finance, and IT teams on multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field Master's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 Years of Property Management experience (Affordable Housing preferred).
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Extensive financial planning and analysis experience.
  • Expert level Excel skills Yardi experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills-both written and verbal detail orientated.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
