Group Nine is currently seeking an Analyst/Sr Analyst who will be a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis Team and will be responsible for assisting in the company’s financial planning and strategic analyses. Among other FP&A tasks, the person will be primarily focused on managing, reporting and streamlining rapidly growing list of revenue streams of the company. Some of the major revenue categories include advertising, licensing, production and IP sales. This role will report to the Manager, Corporate Development & Strategic Planning and will have exposure to the CFO, Brand Presidents and other members of the Senior Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Support company-wide revenue centers in an operational capacity 
  • Develop and own internal revenue models and manage all revenue tracking applications
  • Manage the company's Salesforce system, ensure upkeep and recommend upgrades to the system to improve usability of the tool across the company
  • Act as a key contact person for all revenue related activities
  • Assist accounting team in ensuring that all billings are accurate, on time and are in line with contracts
  • Coordinate with accounting team on the recording of revenue/and assist with variance analysis vs budget and forecasts
  • Support annual budget process and monthly financial planning/forecasting, including financial projections of key P&L accounts for cost and revenue 
  • Assist the team in creating and maintain financial reports and business KPIs
  • Perform ongoing corporate financial forecast and trends analyses
  • Recommend ways to improve financial performance by identifying opportunities through financial analyses
  • Willing to assist in ad hoc strategic projects for departments around the organization 
  • Support business units across the organization with regard to product launches, business development or corporate development initiatives driven by financial modeling
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in finance, accounting or related required
  • 2+ years of work experience in analytical roles, such as FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and management consulting
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of accounting concepts
  • Has hands-on experience in managing / or working with Salesforce
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 
  • Highly personable, friendly and has the ability to forge relationships across the company ability
  • Effective communication and language/writing skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills demonstrated in project management
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and with senior business leaders
  • Independent thinker, motivated self-starter, and positive attitude
  • Experience quickly shifting priorities and adapting to a changing, demanding fast-paced environment
  • Team player with curiosity and drive; collaboration is key
