We’re looking for someone with a passion for numbers to join our growing Accounting team! As a Group Accounting Manager, you will be part of the Accounting & Tax department based in New York. The role focuses on working closely with other stakeholders across the business and the team and contributing to accounting-related processes and projects within the SoundCloud Group.

As a motivated team member, you are keen to make a difference in many ways. Following the onboarding phase, you will be trained to take on ownership of processes and tasks, which will provide you with the opportunity to make things your own, driving them to the next level of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of month-end and year-end consolidated financial statements according to IFRS (internal and external reporting)
  • Taking full ownership of Intercompany reconciliations  
  • Liaising with key stakeholders and ensuring reporting obligations and deadlines are met
  • Main contact for IFRS reporting and consolidation matters
  • Driver for further development of our consolidation software “Tagetik” and the group accounting policies
  • Identifying key opportunities and implementing/optimizing the consolidation processes to reduce risk and enhance the financial control environment
  • Further development of group reporting packages

Experience and Background: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Group Accounting, preferably in the Music industry
  • Good Knowledge of ERP / Consolidation tools (Tagetik and/or Oracle would be a plus)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Exceptional IFRS knowledge
  • Being highly comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambitious work environment in which colleagues are measured by outputs and not formalities
  • Hands-on mentality and strong interpersonal and communication skills

The salary range for this role is $80,000-120,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location.
