Op/Ed - News Intern  (Summer 2018)

The Daily News is now looking for enthusiastic college journalism students who are ready to learn the exhilarating, vital world of journalism from inside the city’s most vibrant news organization.

Responsibilities

Manage and review incoming Voice of the People submissions; type postal-mailed and faxed letters as needed; select letters for publication and edit for length, style, grammar and accuracy; produce for print and web a daily Voice of the People page in the print Daily News, writing and formatting letters, headlines and photos).

Qualifications

• Applicants should include links to a portfolio or submit at least 3 clips.
• This is an advanced program, with one to two previous internships required.
