Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Brandin Intern to join our team in New York for the summer. In partnership with the Head of Recruiting, you will create a digitally led recruiting strategy to attract, refer and retain Perch employees. Ideally, candidates should be well versed in social media, know how to grow followers, drive and measure engagement, know how to create a culture of retention and attraction, and development employment brand ambassadors who can be influencers.

In this role, you will:

  • Create recruitment marketing programs and content – on social media and on our website – that highlights our employees and shares their stories.
  • Manage career sites to be engaging and search optimized. 
  • Evaluate and revise job descriptions as necessary.
  • Positively position and increase brand awareness for Perch as an employer of choice. 
  • Develop video content highlighting Perch as a workplace 
  • Establish employer brand goals and develop reporting to support key metrics to report to leadership
  • Define and evaluate the effectiveness of our employee value proposition – including how it resonates at the macro and micro level of our targeted audiences in all our locations. 
  • Evaluate, redesign or create all Perch’s employment branded properties (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Careers, Website, Blogs (tech specific).
  • Evaluate current job board vendors for effectiveness and research additional vendors 
  • Join forces and collaborate with corporate marketing and social teams on employment branding initiatives to ensure branding messages are consistent and aligned. 
  • Develop diversity initiatives and unique ways to reach specific audiences.
  • Ensure that the candidate experience from sourcing to placement reflects the Talent brand.
  • Evaluate recruiting events (meetups, career fairs, etc) and make recommendations 
  • You may be asked to help with some of the day to day recruiting tasks (scheduling, sourcing, hosting candidates, posting jobs, etc)

Professional Qualifications:

  • You are pursuing either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, marketing, employment branding or related field. Would also consider recent grads.
  • Ability to drive results and innovation in a marketing-related role 
  • Strong record of utilizing analytical skills to inform program design and development 
  • Understanding of the digital space – including social media and how it impacts the candidate experience
  • This is a full time (paid) internship in our New York office for the Summer 2019.

  • Results orientation with a high motor and an incredible attention to detail; able to drive projects from planning to completion with limited oversight
  • A low ego and can-do attitude; willingness to admit mistakes and work to remedy them
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to work across diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility to prioritize deliverables and re-prioritize them at a moment’s notice
  • Comfort operating in an ambiguous environment where there's not a set playbook on how to solve each problem
