We’re looking for an experienced Head of Compliance to lead our cross-functional compliance efforts and support the rapid growth we are experiencing in the US and abroad.  Reporting to the General Counsel, this position will be critical to our ability to scale Maven’s unique virtual care model while adhering to applicable regulations. We need a forward-thinking, collaborative and optimistic leader who can help us solve the many complex issues that surface working across different healthcare populations while managing hyper-growth. As Head of Compliance at Maven, you will: 

  • Lead the development, implementation and management of an effective enterprise compliance program
  • Draft and implement policies and procedures for, and oversee all compliance efforts to, support fast-paced growth in the United States and abroad
  • Develop and drive compliance solutions in a broad array of areas, such as: credentialing, quality assurance and peer review, network management, CMS requirements, state practice laws, Medicaid, cross-border regulations, among others 
  • Build out our cross-functional compliance efforts with a specific focus on digital health solutions in collaboration with our Finance, People, Marketing, Product, and other teams
  • Build a comprehensive organizational risk assessment and management program designed to meet and exceed payor requirements
  • Lead any internal investigations pursuant to corporate compliance plans and advise on appropriate mitigation and remediation strategies
  • Establish strong collaboration channels and relationships across the executive suite and with our Clinical Operations, Provider Operations, Sales and Strategy teams
  • Set a long-term vision for the Compliance program and organization, including how it will scale effectively as we rapidly grow our business globally
  • Analyze complex, technical, professional, regulatory or legal standards and publications, distilling insights into actions 
  • Creating training programs, dashboards, and 

We’re looking for you to bring: 

  • 10+ years experience, with 5+ years directly managing key aspects of a healthcare compliance program
  • Experience with: 
    • Managed care and/or government programs
    • Working with regulatory agencies and/or payors
    • Leading healthcare, corporate, and commercial audits and certifications (NCQA & HITRUST a plus)
    • Interacting and presenting to executive leadership
  • Thought leadership, ability to synthesize complex information, strong organizational and project management skills, and attention to detail 
  • A positive, optimistic leadership style and collaborative mindset

Helpful experiences and skills (if you don’t have them, you can learn them with us!): 

  • Experience in telehealth or digital health
  • JD Degree (Bar admission not required)
  • International experience
  • Professional compliance certifications (e.g., Healthcare Compliance - CHC or similar
