Paige is the first company to develop clinical grade AI technology for the pathologist, which resulted in our receiving FDA breakthrough designation for our first product.

We are seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our team. As Corporate Counsel, you will be working on a broad range of corporate and governance matters. Working closely with key stakeholders across the company, you will be responsible for negotiating and drafting agreements and other transactional documents for the company in support of various business objectives. This position requires ensuring compliance with existing contracts, rules, regulations and laws applicable to the sale, distribution and marketing of life sciences and clinical products/services in various jurisdictions. You will be responsible for providing sound legal advice to the company, working with external counsel as necessary. This is a hands-on position in a dynamic and fast-growing company.

As the Corporate Counsel, you will:

  • Draft, negotiate and review a broad range of legal agreements with customers, partners, users and vendors, including contracts, licensing, NDA, leases, purchasing, BAA and services.
  • Draft policies and internal guidance including HR, confidentiality, IT security and compliance related issues. 
  • Interacting with senior management and the Board of Directors to provide advice on a broad range of corporate issues: corporate governance, compliance and business growth (international expansion, etc.)
  • Development of policies and procedures to ensure that we are compliant with all applicable laws, rules and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc)
  • Coordinate with outside counsel where necessary, including managing services and expenses: partner when needed to handle complex legal and regulatory issues, including employment law and litigation
  • Maintain corporate records for the company
  • Perform ad-hoc legal administrative tasks as needed
  • Stay up to date on regulatory trends and relevant legal cases in the healthcare and AI space


About you:

Required

  • JD degree; admitted to practice in New York
  • At least four years experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical/healthcare space
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience with IP and trademark
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, dynamic startup environment
  • Passion for healthcare/life sciences and the opportunity for new technology to significantly improve patient care
