BuzzFeed’s advertising business grows and thrives with experimentation, and being able to rapidly identify solutions for our advertising partners that drive value. BuzzFeed is looking for an ad product specialist that can help to identify these solutions, and build them into scalable, repeatable solutions across multiple brands and verticals.

The Ad Product Specialist will be responsible for managing the BuzzFeed Ad Product catalog - ensuring that all teams involved with selling and delivering our product suite have a clear understanding of each product’s value propositions and how it gets executed, and that creative, distribution and pricing strategies are built to provide value to both advertisers and to BuzzFeed.

A candidate for this role should have cross functional experience at a digital publisher, to be able to work with several teams to manage BuzzFeed’s ad product catalog. Each product needs to have a clear value to an advertiser, and internal processes and materials to deliver that value.

You will:

  • Collaborate with the business embed team to develop ad products from successful campaign solutions.
  • Create and manage a centralized way of accessing resources (specs, GTM, process docs, examples, etc) for each product that BuzzFeed sells.
  • Develop planning and communication strategies to ensure pre- and post-sale teams understand BuzzFeeds product set and how to execute on them
  • Strategize product mix and flighting strategies for key pitches and campaigns, to ensure client goals are met.
  • Work closely with Distribution and Pricing team leads to ensure that each product in the product catalog can deliver measurable value to advertisers and meet BuzzFeed’s internal margin goals.
  • Maintain platform and vendor relationships to identify marketable opportunities and develop BuzzFeed Ad Products to sell into them at scale.
  • You have:
  • 3+ years of digital advertising industry experience in an ad product, project management or distribution role. Experience with custom solutions or branded content a plus.
  • Passionate about advertising, and creating robust solutions that provide value to both end users and advertisers.
  • Experience with social distribution platforms and custom creative a plus.
  • Strong communication skills are crucial, and the ability to support and build relationships with marketing, sales, client services and creative teams to execute ad campaign sales and delivery.
  • Ability to individually manage and execute multiple projects in a fast paced environment
