Community Partner
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Community Partner has overall responsibility for the events strategy and program within Rise NYC. The focus should be to engage our wider FinTech community in addition to being the creative driving force for our events programming.
You should be directly engaging with the wider community to promote the use of the space and generate positive PR. Special attention should be given to FinTech events to attract a mixed audience to foster networking and collaboration.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Passionate people person, serviced focused, self-starter & confident individual. Proven events experience is a requirement with an interest and exposure to FinTech is an added advantage. You should be proactive in raising the awareness of our brand and space by being active in the New York social and tech scene to ensure maximum positive exposure for both the club and events space.
OTHER FEATURES OF JOB
To support the senior management teams objectives to achieve the clubs financial and sales targets across the board by engaging with our membership, understanding their needs and providing solutions for them and our business.
SKILLS SPECIFICATION
Minimum of 2 years relevant event experience
Experience in FinTech is essential
KEY FEATURES
Your day to day role is to focus on sourcing FinTech events to attend and developing a wider network on behalf of the Rise Platform. As a secondary, you are responsible for ensuring accurate event bookings, collating the required information ahead of time and preparing the event on the day. Below is an overview of the responsibilities within this role.
- Be the main point of contact from start to finish for all event inquiries
- Input accurate bookings and information in the venue calendar
- Keep website current with upcoming public events
- Ensure event details are confirmed
- Welcome in events and show them the space and room facilities
- Responsible for creating content and planning the event scope quarterly
- Liaise with the Community team with ad hoc tasks including weekly events board
- Organize and host Rise events including (but not limited to) F&B and delegate management.
- Support VP and AVP in projects
- Ability to network within the membership to gain a full understanding of member businesses and facilitate introductions to Barclays
- Be proactive in the tech community by attending events where the potential exists to network and be an ambassador for Rise.
- Be aware and support on the day to day operations of the club in terms of service, membership experience, club vibe, cleanliness & look and feel and help maintain standards.
- To ensure tours are completed in the Rise Operations fashion showing passion, enthusiasm & flair as well as highlighting all our member benefits and service touch points of our brand.
- To help ensure that the agreed company targets are delivered in terms of sales and service levels at every possible opportunity
- That all service faults are service recovered as quickly as possible and communicated effectively
- To ensure that an accurate CRM system recording is undertaken for all sales leads, connections, and actions
- That all operational systems are used to their fullest, Xero, Capsule, Google Mail & calendar and any issues are reported to the eco-system manager
- To ensure an active flow of events are hosted within the club thus creating a community culture and ethos
- That relationships between business partnerships are managed thus ensuring effective communication channels are clear at all times

- Hold weekly meetings with the team to share knowledge on upcoming events

Salary: $45,000.00 to $48,000.00 /year
