Getaway provides simple escapes to tiny cabins nestled in nature for stressed out folks where they can recharge and disconnect. Our experiences are more than the beautiful tiny cabins nestled in the woods—it’s about disconnecting and living in the present moment. It’s about learning to live without your cell phone and rediscovering the art of a good conversation. It’s about tuning out the endless noise of society today and listening to the great outdoors.
Outposts are located within a two-hour drive of major metro cities—far enough to disconnect but close enough for a spontaneous escape. Getaway currently operates outside NYC, Boston + DC.
We define content as every branded communication a guest comes in contact with - from an Instagram post, to a page on our website, to a sign in the cabins, to a print ad. The Content Manager is responsible for creating and implementing a content strategy to communicate and reinforce our mission, brand values, and story across every customer touchpoint. This person will rely heavily on outside content creators so they must have excellent project management skills. This candidate must be able to deliver both quality and quantity.
We want a people-person who’s able to keenly understand what we’re about and translate this to others – someone who understands, lives, and breathes our mission. We need a multitasker who can work quickly and effectively. By fostering innovative and authentic content, this candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of our brand, mission, and ultimately drive customer growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creation, management and/or execution of Getaway omni-channel content, leading development of The Journal and management of external content creators
Key part of the team marketing campaign creation and execution, including creative concepting, copywriting + copy editing, and stakeholder alignment
Management of content production process with external freelancers (brief,
communication, deadlines, budget, editing, execution)Strategy, production, management, execution and tracking performance across all Getaway social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Spotify
Oversee + develop Artist Fellowship Program, Reflections program and integrate into marketing channels
Writing requirement for digital copy (website, newsletters, ads, print) including evolving our strategic tone-of-voice through copy
QUALIFICATIONS
Existing experience: Minimum two-three years in a role as a content manager or brand marketing manager
Excellent communication skills, written, and oral
Understanding of general marketing, PR + communications
Multi channel content experience including email marketing, overseeing the creation of long form text, web copy, and video content
Enthusiastic + self-motivated team player, with the ability to lead projects proactively
Comfortable in small, fast-paced, startup environment
Experience creating content and managing external content partners
Passion for Getaway mission
LOCATION
Getaway HQ is located in Downtown Brooklyn, this position requires travel for events.
