Coordinator, New Media & TikTok
MLB’s New Media and Content Marketing team is looking for a TikTok-obsessed candidate with a strong understanding of baseball, digital and pop culture trends. Bilingual in both English and Spanish is a plus. Baseball or softball experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Create fun, viral-worthy, and trendy content relevant to TikTok each day for MLB, Cut4 and other accounts that will be launched in the future
- Conceptualize, write, produce and star in original content specifically for TikTok on a daily basis
- Constantly follow top trends and manage a calendar for creating relevant TikToks with MLB players
- Engage with TikTok audience in the comment section
- Figure out the best ways to integrate daily baseball action into effective TikTok content
- Constantly pitch new ways to be ahead of the curve on the app among both sports accounts and brands
- Be extremely familiar with the baseball and softball TikTok community and create content with that community throughout the season
- On-camera work for multiple accounts
Requirements:
Strong understanding of baseball and our players
Expert of TikTok and short-form video content
Must know how to create content through the TikTok app, what memes and sounds are relevant to the platform
Ability to implement marketing strategies, insights and goals in creative content
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, etc.) is a plus
Previous video editing experience recommended
Strong understanding of overall social media landscape and how TikTok comes into play for MLB’s social media strategy and goals
Willingness to work nights and weekends
