WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Director, Brand Marketing will develop and execute strategies to grow The Trade Desk brand, with a focus on North America. S/he will work with teams across marketing functions (including Creative, Content, Product Marketing and PR) and the organization to develop breakthrough marketing campaigns and programs that evangelize The Trade Desk’s story and product offerings, increase brand awareness and consideration, and drive customer acquisition, retention and spend, employee advocacy and the talent pipeline. S/he will also be accountable for developing measurement and reporting strategies to quantify the impact of our brand efforts. This position will report into the Senior Director of North America Marketing and manage 1-2 direct reports.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Campaign Strategy and Development:

  • Partner with internal Creative team and external agencies to conceptualize, plan and develop brand marketing campaigns that align with marketing and business goals
  • Write compelling briefs to articulate campaign goals and inform creative strategy
  • Partner with Digital team to develop media plans to amplify campaigns through owned and paid media channels
  • Establish campaign KPIs; track and report on metrics and make recommendations for ongoing and future improvements and optimizations

Marketing Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute regional marketing plans to help achieve market-level goals and objectives; define audience goals and corresponding marketing tactics to drive brand awareness and platform adoption
  • Conceptualize and implement strategic marketing programs to increase engagement with clients and prospects across the region

Sponsorships and Events:

  • Develop and execute a plan for investing in external sponsorships and internal events to expand The Trade Desk’s brand presence among new and existing audiences
  • Partner with internal Events, Creative and Business teams to define content strategy, branding, and business objectives for each sponsorship or event
  • Negotiate agreements with potential sponsorship vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a small team of talented, driven marketers; coaching them to excel each day, developing their professional skillset and empowering them to contribute at their highest capability
  • Foster a culture of constant learning and improvement, bringing and supporting new ideas

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
  • 10-15 years of experience in brand marketing, ideally with a high growth company
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead and execute 360 marketing campaigns
  • Strong relationship management skills, ability to build consensus across peers and leadership
  • Self-starter, strategic thinker and empathetic marketer with a creative approach to solving problems
  • Willing to take calculated risks that support business goals
  • Esteemed leader who is skilled in and passionate about people development
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Interest in and understanding of The Trade Desk’s mission and culture
