About the Job

We're looking for a sports communications executive who can insert FanDuel in broader sports trend stories as well as responding to topical news coverage on a daily basis. This person should build a plan to work with sports and lifestyle media around the country, so that FanDuel is positioned and spoken about as a sports entertainment company. By having third parties (reporters) reference FanDuel amongst other sports stories, we align with the industry, and consumers begin to hear about our company in a positive light.

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Work marketing and product ops to launch fantasy leagues for players and partners
  • Engage agencies to execute activations and consumer stunts that generate national news coverage to capitalize on the momentum s/he has created.

Characteristics of a successful candidate:

  • Great track record in consumer publicity, preferably sports
  • Experience working both in-house and for agency
  • Experience with campaign management
  • Existing contacts within sports and lifestyle journalism across the country
  • An understanding of sports news & a fantastic record of generating stories
  • Ability to think creatively and conceptualize and execute press campaigns
  • Ability to work with various internal departments to create news
  • Driven, self-starter who can work autonomously
  • Experience managing people
  • Confident writer and speaker
