We are looking for an Email Marketing Manager to join our growing Marketing team at our HQ in Soho. Are you an analytical marketer who wants to shape the coding journey of millions of people? Are you a self-starter who has tried learning to code on your own? In this role, you'll exercise your full range of strategic, analytical, and creative skills to help millions of learners achieve their goals every day.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Create and execute campaigns that drive conversions into our premium products, Codecademy Pro and Codecademy Pro Intensive
- Implement list segmentation, develop triggered emails, seasonal promotions, and promote new course launches
- Pitch, develop, and edit email copy with minimal oversight
- Work closely with the Product and Design teams to experiment with new messaging and email templates, seeking to maximize the performance of initiatives
- Be responsible for a quarterly email marketing revenue target
What You Need:
- 2 - 4 years of in-house email or push notification marketing experience
- Copywriting experience and a passion to craft a narrative
- Ability to edit HTML & CSS email templates
- Tremendous attention to detail — our emails reach tens of millions of inboxes every month
- Experience working independently from ideation to execution and reporting on email marketing campaigns with measurable business impact
- Experience strategizing and developing triggered emails that adhere to a customer lifecycle journey
- Proficiency using data analysis tools to discover insightful patterns
Nice to Have:
- Experience at medium-to-late-stage startups
- Experience in consumer SaaS businesses
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Looker and marketing automation tools like Customer.io or Marketo
- A passion for accessible education and coding
