Field Marketing Coordinator
The Flatiron Health Marketing team is responsible for positioning the company and its products for category leadership, sales growth and market penetration. We reach multiple audiences including: employees, physicians and other care providers, life science companies, researchers and media/analysts. Events are a key component of Flatiron’s Marketing strategy. It’s how we meet prospects, engage with current clients, and support ongoing sales and brand awareness efforts. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced professional with the ability to immediately have an impact by managing administration and logistics of numerous industry events and Flatiron-hosted conferences. Additionally, our ideal candidate is interested in learning about a number of marketing functions, including: demand generation, customer engagement and digital marketing.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for and own logistics planning for a range of tradeshows/state society conferences.
- Overall tradeshow/industry conference coordination including: payments, booth planning, attendees schedules, booking hotel rooms and managing registrations.
- Enhance our existing meeting planning process and tracking, ensure internal stakeholders have awareness.
- Budget oversight and planning, tracking, and post-event ROI analysis.
- Serve as liaison with event vendors such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, DMCs, restaurants, hotels, A/V production companies, transportation and others.
- Identify and vet new vendors for Flatiron’s Marketing team to work with. We are looking for a skilled negotiator who is not afraid to go toe to toe with vendors to negotiate company savings.
- Build dynamic registration websites and coordinate event logistics using our event management software, and manage event communications through our marketing automation software.
- Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help staff make decisions about event possibilities.
- Maintain company calendar of events and communicate the latest updates regularly with multiple stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years of work experience
- Knowledge of Cvent or experience working with other event planning software
- Proven experience managing vendors and booking venues for events
- Experience working with Marketo/Salesforce or other marketing automation / CRM systems a plus
- Interest in owning and growing into event marketing, marketing communications, and field marketing responsibilities
- Proven experience with project management, managing multiple projects in various stages
- Attention to detail and follow through
- Team player who is not opposed to doing smaller tasks but can also look at the bigger picture
- Ability to remain calm in deadline-driven, high pressure environments
- Travel is required (20%)
