The Role

BuzzFeed is looking for an audience development strategist to aid in the publishing, optimization, and curation of our content onsite. You will work closely with the rest of the audience development team to create a fun and informative experience for readers on BuzzFeed.com, and develop strategies to drive traffic, increase audience loyalty, and hone the BuzzFeed voice. 

This is a full-time position based in either the New York or Los Angeles office. 

You Will:

• Handle the operations of site publishing, including queueing posts, deploying push notifications, curating homepage packages, and more
• Handle the operations of content optimization and organization (tagging, sectioning, SEO optimization, thumbnail optimization, etc.)
• Operationally support and track any structured tests/experiments/initiatives
• Create and maintain editorial calendar 

You Have:

• Proficiency in data analytics tools like Google Analytics and the ability to quickly learn to use BuzzFeed's own proprietary analytics tools
• Proficiency in best practices for SEO
• A deep knowledge of BuzzFeed's editorial voice and content types
• Strong attention to detail and impeccable organizational capabilities 
• The ability to synthesize learnings and/or tips from personal success (or failure) and share with other team members 
• Eagerness to work in a highly collaborative, ever-changing environment
• A genuine, wide-eyed love of the internet, pop culture and trends 
• Previous experience in media/online publishing a plus
