Overview

The Audience Development Manager is responsible for developing, aligning and improving traffic partner relationships with MSN, Yahoo, AOL and other partners, and for day-to-day oversight of the Social Media and Community (blog network) managers.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Act as the frontline brand manager for Daily Meal editorial product by interacting with established content partners (including daily pitching of forthcoming content) and developing new partnerships
  • Establish new and maintain existing relationships with influencers
  • Communicate audience sentiment and responses to appropriate management and editorial staff
  • Work closely with sales & marketing team to execute projects and campaigns for  key clients, and proactively communicate “audience story” to advertising sales department and all employees
  • Work closely with editorial staff to optimize content for syndication partners
  • Monitor and analyze traffic activities to determine what does and doesn't work why
  • Track ROI on all campaigns using various analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, ChartBeat, etc.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on industry and social media trends and opportunities and represent the company internally and externally on key industry committees and at key industry events

Qualifications

  • Familiar with Google Analytics
  • Deep understanding of editorial work flow and output
  • Active personal use of both the desktop and mobile web as well as social networks

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • 1 -2 years of digital marketing, digital editorial creation, or social media experience at a digital media company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in multiplatform content extensions and original content production
  • Familiarity with digital analytics and tools such as Omniture, ComScore, Google Analytics, and Facebook Insights
  • Experience managing teams, mentoring, and providing creative guidance
  • Familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Working knowledge and understanding of digital technologies, including HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, ComScore and Nielsen
