As Marketing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination and execution of our marketing campaigns designed to drive the acquisition of teachers and district administrators and move them through the funnel. You will be responsible for properly building and implementing our marketing campaigns in Marketo to ensure they target the correct audience, effectively track performance throughout the funnel and properly sync with Salesforce to ensure leads are routed properly. In addition, you will manage regular and ad-hoc performance tracking to identify and give insight into key trends.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage Marketo integrations with the Newsela site, salesforce.com, and other applications.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and the management of Marketo processes i including email campaigns, landing pages, etc.
  • Ensure data integrity across leads, campaigns, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations to ensure a smooth handoff of leads from marketing to sales.
  • Segment and leverage Newsela’s user database for greater campaign effectiveness.
  • Define business analytics and create dashboards and reports to support Sales and Marketing and measure all aspects of the marketing lead generation engine.
  • A/B testing and optimization, creating custom email paths and triggered campaigns for different segments.
  • Own the email experience for all Newsela users by ensuring consistency and managing communication volume.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of marketing operations or marketing automation experience.  
  • Demonstrated experience with both Marketo and Salesforce, with Marketo administration experience.
  • Exceptional analytical skills in quantitative data analysis of program effectiveness, forecasting, and ROI.
  • HTML coding experience (with focus on responsive email design).

  • Demonstrated experience with freemium business models, especially driving high quality leads for sales.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver results in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt and change strategy to align with business needs.
  • B2B SaaS marketing experience.
  • Experience with Marketo Lead Scoring
