Namely Inc. seeks to recruit an innovative and creative Vice President, Marketing. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this position will be responsible for corporate branding, content, internal and external communications, demand and lead generation, marketing analytics, field marketing, press relations, events, and ongoing engagement with the HR community for Namely.

The Vice President, Marketing will partner closely with the management team to create an integrated, company-wide marketing strategy. The Vice President, Marketing will develop and execute strategies that highlight the company’s transformative impact on the marketplace, as well as bringing significant brand awareness to the suite of capabilities, with a focus on communications and brand building as well as increasing demand. Overall, the Vice President, Marketing’s leadership will further extend Namely’s competitive differentiation as the leading HR platform. You will build a world class team and make meaningful impact across Namely.

Your brand building efforts will build off of Namely’s reputation in the industry but will also extend the brand awareness with new levels of value proposition in the marketplace. The Vice President, Marketing will be responsible for implementing innovative messaging of Namely’s strategy and value proposition, both internally and externally with clients, influencers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a true business partner to the leadership team and CEO, working closely to create and execute the marketing strategy and innovative brand building initiatives.
  • Own the marketing function, including global branding, value proposition, marketing operations, demand generation, public relations, digital marketing, communications, and field sales enablement.
  • Transform how HR practitioners think about technology and its impact to the workplace.
  • Own top of funnel strategy and execution through industry awareness, content, and lead generation.
  • Serve as a thought-leader and evangelist for the company, delivering the value of the brand to various audiences including customers, partners, the Board of Directors, and employees.
  • Create a direct connection between marketing programs and demand generation for a seamless transfer of prospects from awareness and interest to active pipeline.
  • Be a talent magnet: lead, motivate, and develop an outcome driven team. Create a climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of top-quality marketers at all levels.
  • Gain the trust and confidence of the company’s stakeholders and demonstrate leadership values, a strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Collaborate with the sales leaders to ensure brand positioning, selling, and market awareness are closely aligned.
  • Work with partner team to ensure our partner strategy continues to position Namely in the ecosystem with small to mid-sized companies.
  • Optimize marketing data and analytics to ensure the team understands real time state of marketing and demand. Utilize marketing data and analytics to plan, drive, and adjust strategy and marketing roadmap.
  • Be a very active participant on the executive management team and as such, be recognized and trusted as a key team player and a thoughtful and effective leader who understands the organization, the business operations, and is ready to make significant, immediate contributions to the company and its value in the marketplace.

Desired Outcomes

  • Serve as a critical, valued partner for the CEO, senior executive team, and Board.
  • Existing and potentially new customers will recognize the full-value proposition of Namely’s suite of products and solutions. Measured by unaided awareness studies.
  • Create a predictable and measurable funnel of leads and customer engagements that allows a prioritized and high value approach to sales.
  • Create a marketing engine that utilizes marketing data and analytics to ensure the team understands the real time and future state of marketing and demand.

Experience

  • 15+ years of marketing leadership ideally, from a software platform that services multiple functional verticals and industries
  • Demonstrated success positioning a brand through creative and content marketing
  • Experience in marketing, media, corporate communication and/or agency backgrounds are added advantages
  • Experience developing and managing a team of 20+ people
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field
