About Venmo

Venmo was founded on the principles of breaking down the intimidating barriers around financial transactions to make them intuitive, friendly, and even fun. And it worked: people love sending money with Venmo, and we’re growing by leaps and bounds!

However, this is just the beginning. We want to take that magic of sending money with Venmo and cascade it into every place where people use money. That means connecting people to their money in the most intuitive and fun way possible, then connecting people with each other. How we do that is going to take a lot of figuring out. Let’s figure it out together!

Design Team at Venmo

We’re a small team of creative, thoughtful, and eclectic product designers who are passionate about crafting the best user experience possible for our users, from the broad ideas of what features we offer, to the minute details of how far a divider extends. We work closely with product managers, engineers, and other disciplines to realize a shared vision for Venmo.

We’re looking for a Product Design Intern for Summer 2018 to come and make our team even more awesome. You’ll help design various features across multiple platforms and reach millions of Venmo users with your work.

What You’ll Do

• Design flows and experiences that are easy to use and beautiful
• Collaborate with other designers to turn broad problems into in-app solutions
• Work directly with the PM and Engineering teams to see projects through from discovery to delivery
• Participate in designing and conducting research sessions for discovery and validation
• Give and solicit feedback from other designers as well as other teams

What We Are Looking For

• Solid portfolio that shows your ability to execute on visual, interaction, and user experience details
• Creative thinking and the ability to have fresh innovative ideas
• Communication skills for articulating design decisions
• Ability to discover and solve design challenges independently
• Experience working on design problems collaboratively
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Media, HCI (or similar)
